  About the Journal

Karnataka Anaesthesia Journal, a publication of Indian Society Of Anaesthesiologists, Karnataka State Branch, is a peer-reviewed online journal with Quarterly print on demand compilation of issues published. The journal’s full text is available online at www.karnatakaanaesthj.org. The journal allows free access (Open Access) to its contents and permits authors to self-archive final accepted version of the articles on any OAI-compliant institutional / subject-based repository.

Karnataka Anaesthesia Journal is official publication of Indian Society of Anaesthesiologists Karnataka chapter. Born in the year 1996 at K.L.E. Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College, Belgaum. Dr. P.F. Kotur was the first editor.

It is also our goal to make it indexed journal at the earliest.

Digital Archiving

Wolters Kluwer Medknow provides for long-term digital preservation through two primary partnerships, Portico and CLOCKSS.

Portico is a leading digital preservation service worldwide. The content is preserved as an archival version and is not publically accessible via Portico, but is provided when required under specific conditions, such as discontinuation of the collection or catastrophic failure of the website.

CLOCKSS will enable any library to maintain their own archive of content from Wolters Kluwer Medknow and other publishers, with minimal technical effort and using cheaply available hardware.

  Scope of the journal

The journal will cover technical and clinical studies related to health, ethical and social issues in field of Technical issues and Clinical studies in the field of Anaesthesiology, Pain Management, Intensive Care, and the ethical and social issues involved in the patient management. Articles with clinical interest and implications will be given preference.

Aim - To encourage and hairness research potential of young and upcoming Anaesthologists of the state, comidering the huge members of post graduates centers in Karnataka and the current registered Indian society of Anaesthesiologists Karnataka state chapter members nearing 2000. There is definitely, huge potential and need to publish their research findings for which this journal is meant.
